Adam Dylan Glassberg has always been a curious,
kind, intellectual, comedic and creative spirit, from the
moment he was born on June 29, 2012. From his early
days of composing and performing, to his current
writing and research into American history, Adam is
always working on a project!
Adam’s English names honor his great-grandmother, Adele,
and his great-great aunt, Dorothy. Both women were the
anchors of their families, with large social circles and
beloved by all. Adam’s Hebrew name, Ö ֵÕָ ָדם ְזÕ (Adam
Ze’ev) honors his great-grandfather Willie, Adele’s
husband, who was the life of the party as well as a loving
pillar of his family, community, and shul. Adam embodies
all of these traits, constantly surrounded by great friends
from camp and school, either in-person or on non-stop
group chats, and we are so proud of the amazing young
man he has become!
Adam fully immerses himself in all his varied interests – the
Mets, baseball in general, fishing, playing cards, and our
pet bearded dragon Winston. Adam spends his summers at
Lake Owego Camp, or with his grandparents, cousins, and
Aunt and Uncle at our family bungalow in Hopewell
Junction, NY.
As a younger brother, Adam has learned a lot from Jacob
(15). While this includes important lessons on video games
and how to dodge a punch, Jacob has also inspired Adam
to continue his relationship with TBI post-barmitzvah by
volunteering and giving back to our community.
We want to thank everyone at TBI who has supported
Adam in his Jewish learning and bar mitzvah journey,
including his amazing religious school teachers, the TBI
staff, Anya, Josh Blumenfeld, Michael Smolow, Rabbi Mike
and especially Cantor David.
