Ford Bryant Lundberg was born on June 27, 2012. He was
named after his great grandmothers, Fritzi and Beatrice. Fritzi
lived every day of her 103 years with exuberance, curiosity
and love of family. Beatrice likewise exuded strength, wit and
genuineness - all wonderful qualities that Ford has inherited.
As the youngest brother, Ford gets a lot of love, protection
and tips on how to throw a devastating curveball from his
older kin, Hayden (19) and Caleb (17). He also is used to
standing up for himself when things get a little rough on the
basketball court or couch. Ford enjoys playing wiffleball,
mini-hoop and video games with his brothers.
Ford wears his passions on his sleeves, and the sleeves are
usually pinstriped. He adores his Yankees and pores over
player stats and highlight videos. He is also actively involved
in baseball - playing for our local PYA league, his Legends
travel baseball team, and the Weber Middle School Vikings
baseball team. If you pass by a ball field, there’s a good
chance Ford is on it.
He enjoys trying new things, whether it’s discovering a new
pizza joint in NYC or Connecticut while visiting his
grandparents, trekking a muddy bike trail around Port or
finding a hidden ski trail up north - Ford is open to adventure.
His innate curiosity has taken us to fun and tasty places far off
the beaten path and we hope he never loses that spirit.
Cape Cod holds a special place in Ford’s heart. Every summer
he is grateful to spend a week or two with his beloved
cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. He enjoys
swimming, mini-golfing, quality testing every flavor of
icecream at Mack’s or PJ’s, and running on the beach with his
fun-loving dog Mackey.
Ford created his mitzvah project around helping those in
need in our community especially immigrant families during
these challenging times. Working with the Parent Resource
Center of Port Washington, Ford will be collecting supplies
that are needed the most for these families.
We were so proud to watch Ford work hard on his journey to
become a Bar Mitzvah. Thank you to Anya and all of his
Hebrew School teachers past and present. Thank you Cantor
David for working with him on his Haftorah and service
portion, Rabbi Mike for your guidance and insights, as well as
Amanda and Julie for helping us get ready for our family’s
special day.
