Let’s study together in merit of the release of the hostages. Like the ancient Kabbalists in Tzefat, may our communal
study reach the Heavens. May God hear the prayers of our brothers and sisters in Israel. May our hostages be released
and come home – NOW. And may God protect the soldiers of the IDF, and may their mission be blessed with success.
Amen.
B’virkat shalom.
With blessings of peace,

Could the Kabbalists in Tzefat, in the 1600s, have modeled their Walk Between the Two Sleeps, a custom on the first night of
Shavuot, on Shakespeare’s custom of the same name in The Merchant Of Venice? (Pictured are: A Kabbalist in Tzefat, left,
and The Grand Canal in Venice, by Giovanni Canaletto, right.)
